Title: Black Accolades

As a black kid, the accolades from my black family come different perspectives that were immersed into their conscious. They were proud that I went to college and graduated, but they were 100x more excited that I didn't go to prison, the new black destination. They say "don't go to prison" instead of "don't end up in prison" because it's so easy for my skin to be intolerant and get me there, as if it's a placed path.
